    NR, or Nicotinamide Riboside, is a form of Vitamin B3 (niacin) and a naturally occurring molecule in the body. It is a precursor or building block for the formation of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD), a molecule essential for cellular energy production.

    NR is converted in the body through a two-step process: first, it transforms into Nicotinamide Mononucleotide (NMN) and then into NAD.

    The effectiveness of NAD precursors like NR (Nicotinamide Riboside) depends partly on their ability to enter cells efficiently. Compared to NMN (Nicotinamide Mononucleotide) and NAD (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide), NR is smaller and is therefore thought to enter cells more efficiently.     Methylation is a vital biological process that influences how cellular functions are turned on or off to adapt to the body’s changing demands. Long-term NR use can cause depletion of methyl groups, as the excess nicotinamide generated during the NR to NAD production cycle needs methylation for its removal from the body. Depletion of these methyl groups may cause fatigue. TMG can aid in replenishing these methyl groups; however, it is not necessary for everyone. If you experience fatigue after taking NR, consider supplementing with TMG.

    NAD levels have been shown to peak during the morning hours. We therefore suggest that you take your NR in the morning to match this natural daily rhythm. In some people, NR also has a stimulant-like effect, and for this reason, we suggest against taking it in the evening as it may result in poorer sleep quality.

    Vitamin B3, also called Niacin, is the parent form of the molecule that your body uses to make NR. While this form of B3 can increase levels of NAD in cells, it is believed to be less efficient, which is why NR supplementation is recommended instead of niacin.

    NR has been shown to be safe in doses of up to 2000 mg daily, however, these studies were controlled and their duration was short. NR has not been studied in dosages this high for long-term use. It is therefore recommended that you do not exceed 600 mg a day.

    Recent manufacturing advancements have made NR more stable, reducing the need for refrigeration during short-term storage. However, for long-term storage, you may wish to refrigerate your NR to maintain maximum potency.

    How to claim the guarantee

    • Email returns@vitality-pro.com with your order number, which you'll find in your order confirmation email.
    • We'll send you the address to return your product to. Please include a note with your order number inside the parcel so we can identify your return.
    • Once your return is received, we'll process your refund within 7 days.

    Return shipping costs: You'll need to arrange and pay for return shipping unless the product arrived faulty or damaged. All returns are sent to our UK return address. If you're ordering from outside the UK, please keep in mind that international return shipping can be expensive.

    Multiple bottles or larger quantities: If you buy multiple bottles or a larger quantity of the same product in a single order, the guarantee covers the use of one bottle, or the smallest individual size supplied. Any additional unopened units must be returned to receive a refund.

    For example, if you order 180 capsules and receive 2 × 90-capsule bottles, you can open and use one 90-capsule bottle. The second bottle must be returned.

    The 60-Day Satisfaction Guarantee does not apply to our 100g NMN or 100g Resveratrol products, as we offer smaller 20g and 30g options to give you the opportunity to try the product before committing to a larger supply.
